03/20/2008 Texas Hi there, my name is Betty. The unit I am in now is a diagnostic unit. Once they get you in the system and give you all your medical tests and shots, they usually send you to another facility. I am serving 18 months for a felony evading arrest. I will be able to go home by 2-13-09. I do not have a home to go to right now, though. I am thinking I will have to go to a half-way house per parole. I am an LVN and have been a nurse 13 years. I am lucky, I was able to keep my license, since I did not have a drug charge. I have met a couple of nurses in here who lost their licenses due to drugs. I am single, I have 2 sons, ages 18 and 21. I am 5'2" and 180 pounds. I like animals and reading. I love taking walks and surfing the net. I plan on going back to work and getting my own place, but am not sure where I want to settle down at just yet. I get very little mail. My sons are too busy to write, I guess. I've been sentenced to 3 years for trying to cash a fraudulent check at Thunder Valley, but due to my Silent Strike from 8 years ago, they doubled my sentence. I also had a few bundles of meth on me. I don't have anyone to help me out there, so I'm seeking help the best way I know how in prison. I'm a very honest lady. I'm 5'3" tall, 135 pounds, Spanish & Portuguese, age 36 years old.
